Registration/Managed Care 101/Insurance Verification
  • 1 day
  • The purpose of this class is to learn to enter in patient demographics, insurance and case information (special billing). This is usually the first class taken by users to obtain an IDX sign on (regardless of previous experience on IDX at other institutions).
  • The first part of the class covers the technical components of Registration; how to enter and edit patient demographics and FSC.
  • The second part of the class covers Managed Care 101 (presented by UCP Educator, Turatha Grant) and Insurance Verification (presented by Lilly Pena of UT-MSRDP).



 

Scheduling
  • ½ day
  • Designed for clinical personnel for scheduling patient appointments
  • Will cover basic functions, booking patient appointments, viewing and printing provider schedules

PCS (Paperless Collection System)
  • ½ day
  • Class designed for employees working in the PCS (Paperless Collection) module of IDX. Users are instructed on to improve the in-house collection process by working in PCS. We demonstrate how PCS helps eliminate the dependency on ledgers and reports.

 

 

 
Account Management
  • ½ day
  • The purpose of this class is to instruct USER’s how to read individual patient account histories, print (demand) claims and statements, print patient ledgers. and utilize Action Codes more effectively.

Master Schedules (For identified personnel only)
  • 1 day
  • Class designed for Clinical Personnel that work on IDX Scheduling System and maintain physician Master as well as Daily Schedules. Class covers: designing and distributing Master Schedules, editing daily schedules and bumping patient appointments.

 

Open Referrals
  • ½ day –
  • Designed for clinical personnel for adding/editing Open Referrals into Scheduling system
  • Covers adding/editing/linking referrals to appointments
  • Class to cover Open Referrals as it relates to Appointment Scheduling/Internal Referrals/External Referrals
  • Designed for both PCP and Specialist offices



 

 

Patient Inquiry

½ day –

Designed for individuals that want to learn to view patient appointment history, on-line view of provider schedules and printing of provider schedules

Will focus on needs of back office (nurse, medical assistant, physician) in viewing patient appointments as well as provider schedules


 

TES (Transaction Editing System)
  • ½ day
  • The purpose of this class is to instruct how to utilize the system to enter in patient charges, and to fix edits in work files.

Time of Service
  • 2 days
  • This class discusses and shows the user how to Check Out a patient when they leave the Clinic. The first day is a review of all the applications in IDX that will make Time of Service run efficiently. Day 1 topics include: Registration, FSC and Insurance options, Referrals and Scheduling. Also covered are short cuts, and quick reference materials. The second day consist only of the Time of Service application and it's functions. It covers the action codes that are used in the Check Out screen. This class also covers Batch Reconciliation, how to access the Cash Draw, and entering charges and payments.

 


BAR Reporting
  • ½ day
  • The purpose of this class is to instruct how to utilize and interpret Daily or Month –End Reports to assist the Administrators with the extracting of data to analyze of the revenue and collections of the organization
