Username and Password Policy
NOTE: To receive a username and password, IDX training is required.

MSRDP Systems Management will utilize the employees current Network access username or the employee e-mail account name to access the IDX system.

If a user does not have either a network or e-mail username, enter NONE in the network/e-mail username line in the User and Department information section of the Security Access Forms, and MSRDP Systems Management Security Officer will provide the username for these users.

The IDX system password will be set to the default for the first time the user logs on to the system. The default is PASSWORD. As soon as the user logs on the system will automatically notify the user that the password has expired and will require the user to set up his/her own password before allowing the user to enter the applications area of the system.

Reset Password – In case the user forgets his/her password they must contact the MSRDP – Systems Management office for resetting of the password. There are several ways to have the password reset. Identification is verified using one of the following choices: The method selected will be up to the discretion of the MSRDP Systems Management office employee processing the request.

  • Social Security Number- The employee will be asked to verify a portion of their Social Security number.
  • Supervisor - If the social security number is not known, the user must have their immediate supervisor send an e-mail request to MSRDP Systems Management office to have password reset. The e-mail should contain the name of the user, username and home department
  • Badge – request the user bring his/her ID badge to MSRDP Systems Management office.
